Who We Are

Women of the Wick started as a podcast series by writer and artist Sara Kärpänen in 2019, to document the personal stories by women and non-binary practitioners in East London.

Today, Women of the Wick produces a bi-annual print magazine WOWZINE, Girl Get A Real Job podcast series, facilitates monthly workshops for creative freelancers, and works with entrepreneurs and partners across London.

We’ve grown from one woman’s team to an eclective collective of creatives who are all passionate about storytelling and building more equal and equitable futures.
